Argentina.- Gustavo Cerati, one of the most representative figures of rock music in Spanish, turns 53 today. He is still in a coma due to a brain and cardiac incident back in 2010.

Gustavo Adrián Cerati was born in Buenos Aires in1959; the first born and only male child out of three. He was musically inclined since childhood and at the age of 9 he started to study guitar. By12 he formed a trio that would play at private parties.

Years later he would declare David Bowie, King Crimson, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimmy Page and Ritchie Blackmore as his major musical influences.
