AFTER SID’S GIANT FOSSIL

Paraguay.- Paraguayian Paleonthologysts and technitians research team moved to Vallemi, 370 miles north from the capital city to start the extraction of a megatherium fossil found in a cave.

Paleonthologyst Victor Filippi informed that first it is needed to evaluate the site and right after that the excavation will proceed. Very skillful work will be required, and it might take around 10 days.

According to data, the 1.50 meter skelleton will be extracted in sections, beginning with the shoulders, then the rib cage, the column, the tail and finally the hip, being the biggest bone of the fossil, said the experts.
