CHECK THE MOST RECENT PICTURE FROM MARS

Washington.- NASA has flashed a collection of pictures from Mars taken by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity vehicle.

According to the US space agency, the picture shows “the closest to actually be there”, at the famous red planet.

The 360 degree view is “the most espectacularly detailed image of a crater ever seen in during the course of the entire mission”, according to scientists. It was captured by a Pancam set on a mast of the vehicle for 120 days. It has been displayed with false color setting to emphasize the diversity of materials. Opportunity has been opperating in Mars since January 2004.

Views were captured Dec. 21st 2011 and May 8th 2012 from a site named Greeley Haven.
