WHAT DOES T. Z. P. MEAN? CHECK THIS OUT!

By: Bóriz Segoviano. Guanajuato, Gto.- Top of the art researchers from the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM) have turned their Territorial Zoning Plan (POT in Spanish) to avoid the city from growing off.

That is good for Guanajuato because it allows the protection of ecological reserves, such as ‘El cerro de la Bufa’, o ‘El cerro del Hormiguero’.

But also establishes that it must not grow up to the hills, it is requiered to grow towards the plain, to the South.

Nevertheless, according to Mr. Big Kahuna, Edgar Castro, this document has to be looked at before it gets to be approved and signed up by the city council.

As a matter of fact, it might be left for the next City Major’s agenda.
