SIX TRAPPED INSIDE COAHUILA MINE

Coahuila.- Accidents in mines continue. Six miners were trapped inside a Progreso municiple mine due to the slide of 100 tons of coal.

Incident was registered at the VII mine of the Mimosa Unit around 10:15 hrs. where rescue teams were able to get one of the workers out.

The six miners were on the working front when an accident happened due to a methane bag and the fall of 100 tons of coal, aproximately.

Minera del Norte news bulletin stated that thanks to the good ventilation, ignition and gas explotion was avoided, and at the same time all the automatized control systems stopped at once.
